Great lunch on December 29. Nine guys from Class of 68 at Tufanos.
Wonderful to have a few guys who had not been able to make events due to their international intrigues. 
No-one took a picture as there were too many stories.
Highlight was Ron G with his bird calls, nobody could do it better, especially  his recollection of Fr Griffin taking a dim view of his activity and acting like a true Augie and smacking poor Ron.

Our Valedictorian, Dave Slawkowski passed away on December 1 after a long illness.
Dave graduated from Notre Dame and Harvard Law school.
His law practice was concentrated in medical malpractice defense; he had a well earned reputation as one of the best in his field.

Dave was a classy guy even in high school. With all the competition to be Number 1, he never let it interfere with being a good, friendly guy, not easy to do. He ended up Number 1, the old fashioned way, he earned it!
We have heard from attorneys that Dave was more than a genius; he was a gentle and caring genius. Again not easy to do.
He was a real Mendel Monarch.
