Gerry - Great Passing
Gerry was buried today with his Mendel Ring, His Mendel Cap, a Baseball, 3 golf balls and his fishing rod; all things that meant a great deal to him.
Jack Hill and I were able to attend the service today and Pat Reilley attended the wake yesterday.
It meant a great deal to his family that Gerry's Mendel friends visited or wrote to him.
I said a few brief words; "If in 1964 I would have said I loved my friend, I would have been identified as totally weird or other things. But I and many others loved their friend and thankfully 54 years later those expressions are not viewed as weird."

Gerry
was a loyal friend to many. Some of us got to know him in 1964 at Mendel
and there are others who knew him even longer than that.
We all agree that these life time friendships with Gerry could not be better for all involved.

June 1, 2019
Dear Arlene and Family,
Those listed below are Gerry’s Mendel friends who
specifically asked that their condolences be expressed to you. Many of them
enjoyed spending time with him at the annual golf outing and other events.
Others had not seen Gerry in a long time but cherished his friendship. I know
they all agree that Gerry was a True Mendel Gentleman.

In the Serbian Orthodox Church, the phrase used for
those who have passed is “Memory Eternal.” Rest assured that Gerry will be eternally
remembered by all of us.

2019 Reunion
Twenty-two Monarchs from the Class of 1968 were in attendance. Many great stories and laughs.
Great class remarks by Bill Windauer; heartfelt reelections on what Mendel meant and continues to mean to all of us. He talk about the history of our times and how world and domestic events impacted us.
Enjoy the pictures below:
Will edit the group with one that is not at an off angle.
This first photo is the mc Bernie Tafoya.
