2011 Reunion Dinner - Hall of Fame

Paul Carvey and Bill Windauer were inducted into the Mendel Hall of Fame. Fifteen (15) other 68ers and Bill's sons were there. Great time had by everyone. More details and pictures forthcoming.

The primary focus of the Carvey lab is Parkinson's disease. The lab is currently focusing on the blood brain barrier in PD. Carvey has sat on numerous study sections at the NIH and other organizations, and has had or participated in 11 NIH grants.

All Big Ten Honorable Mention [football] at U of Iowa

Letterman 4 years  football 2 years wrestling-track

Drafted in 8^th round by Baltimore Colts and played in the Pros for 5 years

Alumni dinner Friday April 15, 2011

Emails are going out and a letter will follow.

Last time we had about 28 for either golf or the dinner. The goal this year is 43, one for each year since graduation.

I am going to have Mendel ball caps with 1968 embroidered on them for everyone who shows up and they will be at a wholesale price. Mike Dreznes' brothers run Beverly Records and I had a preliminary discussion with him to get the caps through them at a great price.

The price for the dinner is $65 - cheap.

Yes it is a long drive for everyone but I have never heard any complaints out on the course; too many wild shots to laugh about!
